How to Block an Unknown SIM on Your CNIC
A SIM registered on your CNIC without your knowledge can be misused for fraud or harassment — and it is linked to your name. Here is the official process to block and disown it.
5 steps to disown an unauthorised SIM
- 1Screenshot your 668 result (send your 13-digit CNIC to 668) as proof.
- 2Identify the network that shows the extra SIM — Jazz, Zong, Telenor or Ufone.
- 3Visit that operator's franchise or customer service centre with your original CNIC.
- 4Complete biometric verification and ask them to disown the SIM you don't recognise.
- 5Re-check by sending your CNIC to 668 after 48 hours to confirm it has been removed.
If the franchise does not help
File a complaint with PTA at complaint.pta.gov.pk or call the PTA toll-free number 0800-55055. Include your CNIC number, the network name and the screenshot of your 668 result.
