How to Check SIMs Registered on Your CNIC
Wondering how to check sims registered on my cnic? PTA gives every Pakistani two free, official ways to do it: an SMS to 668 or the online portal cnic.sims.pk. Both take less than a minute and show how many SIMs each network has registered in your name.
Method 1 — SMS your CNIC to 668
- 1Open the messages app on any Pakistani SIM.
- 2Type your 13-digit CNIC number without dashes, for example 3520212345671.
- 3Send the message to 668.
- 4Wait for the reply. It lists the number of SIMs registered on your CNIC for each operator.
Method 2 — Use the PTA portal cnic.sims.pk
- 1Open your browser and type cnic.sims.pk yourself (do not follow links from unknown messages).
- 2Enter your 13-digit CNIC number in the box.
- 3Type the security code shown on screen.
- 4Press Submit to see your SIM count per network. This works from abroad too.
Understanding your results
The reply shows a count per network, such as "Jazz: 2, Zong: 1". It does not show the numbers themselves. Compare the count with the SIMs you actually use. If a network shows more SIMs than you own, someone may have registered a SIM on your CNIC without your knowledge.
Remember: one CNIC can hold up to 8 SIMs in total — 5 voice SIMs and 3 data-only SIMs.
