Live Tracker Pakistan: Scam Warning
"Live tracker" sites claim they can show a phone's location, owner name and CNIC from just a number. They can't — at least not legally. This page explains how these sites work and the safe, official alternatives.
How the live tracker scam works
- You enter a number and see a fake "searching" animation or a random map pin.
- You are asked to pay, install an app, or share your own CNIC to "unlock" results.
- The data you entered is collected and can be used for fraud or fake SIM registrations.
- Where real names appear, they come from leaked records that are illegal to share.
Warning signs of a fake tracker site
- Promises live GPS location or a stranger's CNIC.
- Asks for payment through JazzCash, Easypaisa or WhatsApp.
- Heavy pop-ups, forced app downloads or "verify you are human" loops.
- No contact details, no privacy policy, constantly changing domains.
Fake trackers vs official methods
| Need | Fake tracker | Official method |
|---|---|---|
| SIMs on my CNIC | Leaked or fake list | SMS CNIC to 668 / cnic.sims.pk |
| Owner name of my SIM | Pay to unlock | SMS MNP to 667 |
| Network of a number | Random guess | SMS N + number to 76367 |
| Lost or stolen phone | Fake map | Find My Device + PTA DIRBS/LSDS |
| Harassing caller | Illegal lookup | PTA complaint / NCCIA 1799 |
